So, you have decided that you would like to hire a cleaning service. Where to start? Since not everyone is cut out to be a cleaner you want to make sure that you are choosing a service that is dependable and worth the money you are willing to spend. There are many reason as to why you would hire a cleaning service but the most popular reason is to save time! Cleaning your home on a regular basis is very time consuming and leaves you less time with your family and personal life. If you have the money to spend on a cleaning service then you want to make sure you pick a good one. Here are some helpful hints to help you succeed in your search for the cleaning service that is right for you.

1.References, Reviews & Testimonials

Take the time to interview at least 3 cleaning services before making your final decision. Make sure that you are checking the references that are provided to you by other current or even past clients. These individuals can give you a really good feeling about their relationship with their cleaner(s) and how professional the cleaning service actual is.

2.Experience

Make sure you ask about the cleaners experience. You may not want to pay top dollar if the cleaner is just starting out. If the service you are looking into provides their own products and equipment you may want to ask what it is they are using, how long they have been using the products, etc.

3.Price

If you have found a cleaning service that you think will be a good fit for you, check out their website or ask them if they have any promotional discounts or coupons for new clients. Many cleaning services have a “new client” discount that can help you save money.

4.Trust

Make sure the cleaning company that you are looking to hire does criminal background checks on all of the staff. You may want to ask for a copy of the criminal record checks from each cleaner that will be coming to your home. You may also want to know if they are a legit business. To know for sure you can ask to see their Master Business License. Having a Master Business License provides added credibility to being a business. Also, does the company provide you with a service agreement? A service agreement is an agreement between you and the cleaning service that is specific to your home and your needs. During the interview you should be asked to fill out a service agreement that specifically outlines every job that is to be done in your home. This gives the cleaner a clear view of the service you are asking for, eliminates misunderstandings and frustration, and should ensure that you are getting the service you are paying for.

5.Professionalism (Attitude & First Impression)

When the cleaner(s) first arrived at your door what did you think? How was the introduction? Are they professionally dressed? Did the cleaner arrive in a well taken care of vehicle? Did the cleaner seem pushy or easy going? These are all things to watch out for. You want someone who is going to be very professional while in your home. First impressions go a long way so listen to your intuition.
